VODACOM V-UP EXTRAAA SUMMER COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“TERMS”)

1. DURATION

  • The Campaign runs from Monday, 1 December 2025 to Monday, 15 December 2025.
  • The R5,000 Daily On-Air Competition runs from Monday, 8 December 2025 to Friday, 12 December 2025 (“Competition Period”).
  • Grand Prize Studio Takeover Moments:
    • Capricorn FM – 13 December 2025
    • Umhlobo Wenene FM – 13 December 2025
    • East Coast Radio – 15 December 2025 (studio visit only; no on-air co-hosting)

2. REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for entry, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Be a South African citizen with a valid South African identity document.
  • Permanently reside in the Republic of South Africa.
  • Have a valid Vodacom mobile number.

Have the VodaPay app installed and be able to access and play V-Up.

3. HOW TO ENTER

  • Download and open the VodaPay app.
  • Tap on V-Up, play, and receive any winning result.
  • Take a screenshot of your V-Up winnings.
  • WhatsApp your screenshot to 072 035 9947.
  • Each screenshot counts as one entry into the daily R5,000 cash draw.

Only entries received on the day will count toward that day’s draw.

4. COMPETITION RULES

  • Once you meet the requirements above, you are automatically entered into the daily draw.
  • If you have won a competition on Capricorn FM, Umhlobo Wenene FM, or East Coast Radio within the last 90 days, you may not participate.
  • There will be one (1) winner per station per day from 8–12 December 2025.
  • MediaHeads360 (“MH360”) will verify, vet, and pre-select qualifying entrants daily through a random draw.
  • MH360 will provide the station with the daily finalist list and confirm the winning number.
  • The station will call the winner during the live on-air competition moment.
  • If the winner cannot be reached after 3 call attempts, the station will move to the first runner-up.
  • Dropped calls, technical failures, or rejected calls will result in selecting another entrant.
  • Judges’ and the station’s decisions are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Winners must be available for the on-air call to claim their prize.

5. PRIZES

5.1 Daily Prize: R5,000 Cash

  • Each daily winner will receive R5,000 cash, paid into their nominated bank account.
  • Prize is not transferable, cannot be exchanged, and cannot be substituted.
  • For payment, winners must provide:
    • A copy of their ID
    • Bank account details
    • Their Vodacom mobile number for verification
  • Payment will be made within 21 working days of receiving complete and verified documentation.

5.2 Grand Prize: Co-Host Experience + R3,200 Voucher Hamper

All R5,000 daily winners are automatically entered into the Grand Prize draw.

The Grand Prize winner(s) will receive:

  • A chance to co-host a live radio show at either Capricorn FM or Umhlobo Wenene FM on 13 December 2025.
  • A studio visit at East Coast Radio on 15 December 2025 (not on-air).
  • A combined R3,200 voucher hamper, including:
    • R700 — Vida e Caffè
    • R500 — Shell
    • R500 — Hungry Lion
    • R500 — Ackermans
    • R500 — Krispy Kreme
    • R500 — Vodacom Shop

Prizes are not transferable, and vouchers must be used before the stated expiry dates.

6. GENERAL TERMS

  • Excessive, spam, fraudulent, or automated entries will result in disqualification.
  • Employees of Vodacom (Pty) Ltd, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotional partners, agencies, MediaHeads360, participating radio stations, and all their directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, and their spouses, life partners, business partners, or immediate family members are NOT eligible to enter or win this competition.
  • By entering, you agree to abide fully by these Terms.
  • We reserve the right to amend or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice.
  • We may declare a prize forfeited and award it to another entrant if:
    • The entry is invalid
    • The winner is unreachable
    • The winner declines the prize
    • The winner breaches these Terms
  • Winners may be required to consent to having their name, voice, or images used in marketing materials for up to 12 months after the competition.
  • We are not responsible for:
    • Lost, delayed, or unsuccessful entries
    • Technical issues with WhatsApp, mobile networks, or the VodaPay app
    • Loss, damage, or disappointment suffered as a result of participating
  • This competition is governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
  • If required by regulators, Vodacom may terminate or amend the competition immediately without liability.

7. Ts & Cs AND PRIVACY NOTICE

  • By entering, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
  • You consent to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of:
    • Entry verification
    • Prize fulfilment
    • Competition administration
  • Your information will not be used for unrelated marketing without your consent.
  • Entrants who do not accept the Terms will not be allowed to participate.
  • By entering, you acknowledge:
