TOYOTA URBAN CRUISER “BE BOLDLY CURIOUS” RADIO COMPETITION(“COMPETITION”) TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“TERMS”) – Jacaranda FM

1. DURATION

  • The Campaign runs from Monday, 9 February 2026 to Monday, 02 March 2026
  • The Competition will take place during the Campaign period on each respective radio station, within the following respective competitions periods:
    • Jacaranda FM – from 09 January 2026 to 15h00 on 25 February 2026

(together referred to as the “Competition Period(s)”).

  • Winner announcements will take place on during the Mid-afternoon Show 
    • Jacaranda FM (Gauteng): Wednesday, 25 February 2026

(together referred to as the “Winner Announcement Dates(s)”).

2. REQUIREMENTS

To qualify as an entrant into this Competition, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID and driver’s license.
  • Permanently reside within the Republic of South Africa.

3. HOW TO ENTER

Jacaranda FM – Gauteng

  • Tune into the Mid-afternoon Show every weekday on Jacaranda FM during the Competition Period.
  • Listen to the “Be Boldly Curious” Toyota Urban Cruiser Feature.
  • WhatsApp your Hidden Gem via voice note to the number announced on-air.
  • In your message, tell us why the Toyota Urban Cruiser and your favourite station should explore that spot.

Entry Deadlines

  • Entries close when the station competition ends at 15H00 on:
    • Jacaranda FM – 25 February 2026
  • Winners will be announced on-air on the Winner Announcement Dates during the Mid-afternoon Show of each of the participating radio stations.

4. COMPETITION RULES

  • Once you meet the requirements in clauses 2 and 3, you will automatically be entered into the Competition.
  • If you have won a Toyota Urban Cruiser Hidden Gems Competition on any participating station within the last 90 calendar days, you may not participate.
  • Entrants must be available for the live on-air moment if contacted.
  • Jacaranda FM will review all entries, shortlist the top 3 Hidden Gems voice note entries per region, and provide the entrants’ details to the relevant radio station for final selection.
  • Jacaranda FM will confirm the winner 2 days in advance to allow the winner to avail themselves for the “Be Boldly Curious Experience”.
  • The Winners give Jacaranda FM permission to share their details with Toyota South Africa Motors.

Winner Verification:

  • To claim the prize, Winners must provide:
  • A valid South African driver’s license; and
  • Their full home address.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Experience Requirements:

  • Winners must arrive on time at the designated provided location for:
  • Vehicle pick-up at the start of the Hidden Gem experience, and
  • Vehicle drop-off at the end of the experience.
  • The time and address of the pick-up will be communicated by Jacaranda FM and must be strictly adhered to.
  • If the winner does not arrive on time and causes delays, the experience may be shortened or cancelled at the discretion of Jacaranda FM or Toyota South Africa Motors.
  • The Winner or presenter is required to drive as part of the experience. They must do so, and no alternative arrangements will be provided.
  • If the selected Winner cannot be reached during the on-air announcement, a runner-up will be contacted.
  • The Judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • If a call cannot be completed due to technical issues or is rejected, another entrant will be selected.

5. PRIZES

  • Each regional winner will get an opportunity to join the station team on a Toyota Urban Cruiser ‘‘Be Boldly Curious experience’’ to the value of R10,000.00 (ten thousand rand) only
  • Winners will be contacted by Jacaranda FM within 2 days after selection to arrange travel logistics and times.
  • The Toyota Urban Cruiser ‘‘Be Boldly Curious experience’’ is non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and only valid during the campaign’s stipulated period.

6. GENERAL TERMS

  • Individuals who submit excessive entries or misuse the competition line will be disqualified.
  • Jacaranda FM is the official promoter of this Competition on behalf of Toyota South Africa Motors.
  • You cannot participate if:
    • You are a director, employee, agent, or consultant of Jacaranda FM, Toyota South Africa Motors, or any participating radio station.
    • You are an immediate family member of any of the above.
  • These Terms are governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
  • By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms.
  • We reserve the right to amend or withdraw these Terms if required.
  • A prize may be forfeited and reassigned if:
    • The entry is invalid or incomplete.
    • The Winner cannot be contacted or fails to accept the prize within 2 days.
    • The Winner breaches these Terms.
  • With the Winner’s consent, we may publish their name and/or photo on-air, online, and on social media for up to 12 months.
  • We are not responsible for:
    • Late or unsuccessful entries due to technical issues.
    • Delivery issues or failures beyond our control.
    • Any loss, damage, or injury related to participation or prize redemption,
    • Damages resulting from any of the above circumstances.
  • If required by law, we may end the Competition immediately without notice. Entrants waive any rights or claims in this regard.

7. TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND PRIVACY NOTICE

  • By entering this Competition, participants confirm that they have read and accepted these Terms and consent to the processing of their personal data for purposes related to this Competition and prize delivery.
  • The WhatsApp entry process will request entrants to:
    • Accept these Terms and Conditions.
    • Confirm they are 18 years or older; and have a valid South African driver’s licence.  
    • Select their participating station before submitting their entry.
  • If entrants do not accept these Terms, are under 18, or do not have a valid South African driver’s licence, they will not be allowed to participate in the Competition.
