1. DURATION
- The Competition will run on-air on YFM, Heart FM and Gagasi FM from 23 July 2025 (15:00–18:00) to 1 August 2025 (15:00–18:00).
- The final competition moment will take place on Friday, 1 August 2025 (between 15:00–18:00).
- No entries will be accepted outside the competition period.
2. WHO CAN ENTER
To qualify as an entrant, you must:
- Be 18 years or older.
- Be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID.
- Reside permanently in the Republic of South Africa.
3. HOW TO ENTER
- Listeners must enter via the dedicated WhatsApp Bot line 064 290 4689 by sending the keyword “The Last Resort”, as prompted during the radio broadcast.
- Upon sending the keyword, participants will be asked to:
- Submit their personal details.
- Identify the person they’ve been trying to reach.
- Send a voice note with the message they would like to relay to that person.
- All voice notes will be vetted by MediaHeads 360 to ensure they are suitable for broadcast, that the entrant meets the requirements outlined in clause 2, and that the voice note contains no explicit, false, or violent content.
4. ON-AIR COMPETITION FORMAT
- One vetted entrant/listener per station will be selected each day during the campaign period.
- During the daily competition moment:
- The presenter will play the selected ‘The Last Resort’ voice note live on-air.
- The presenter will then call the entrant live to discuss who they’ve been trying to get hold of and how long they have been trying to get hold of them & why.
- The entrant will be given the opportunity to relay their message live on air as the last resort to get hold of that person.
- The entrant will be awarded R5,000 in cash for their participation in the competition.
5. PRIZE FULFILMENT
- Each winner will receive a cash prize of R5 000.
- Winners will be contacted directly by MediaHeads 360 to confirm banking details and facilitate the prize payment.
- Prize money will be paid direct to the winner within 20 (twenty) business days from the date of winner confirmation and verification.
- MediaHeads 360 and Cell C including stations accepts no responsibility for incorrect banking details provided by the winner.
- The winner is required to provide the necessary documentation or information within a reasonable timeframe in order for the prize to be processed and paid out.
6. DISQUALIFICATION
You may not enter or win this competition if:
- You have won a competition on YFM, Heart FM, or Gagasi FM in the past 60 days.
- You are a director, employee, agent, or consultant of Cell C, MediaHeads 360, the participating radio stations, or related parties.
- You are an immediate family member of any of the above.
- You misuse the WhatsApp line or submit excessive, false, or inappropriate entries.
7. GENERAL TERMS
- The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for other prizes unless otherwise stated.
- If necessary, we reserve the right to substitute a prize with another of similar commercial value.
- By entering, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- All entrants must confirm they have read and accepted the Ts & Cs and Privacy Notice.
- “I have read the Ts & Cs and consent to the use of my personal data.”
- If you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions or the Privacy Notice, you may not participate.
- If a winner cannot be contacted, does not accept the prize within 7 days, or is disqualified, the prize may be forfeited and a new winner selected.
- If required by law or regulatory authorities, the competition may be ended or amended without prior notice.
- We are not responsible for entries not received due to technical issues.
- By entering, you agree that your name, voice and/or image may be used for publicity purposes for up to 12 months, provided written consent is given.
