- Competition offer:
- The Absa Swiper Competition has two parts and runs from 20 October 2025 to 02 November 2025 (the Absa Swiper Competition period):
- Part 1: The Absa Swiper Cash Competition (“the Swiper”):
- Participants stand a chance to win their share of R1 500 000 (the R1 500 000 will be equally split among the 10 radio stations). They can enter Swiper via WhatsApp on 067 384 0022 during the Absa Swiper Competition period.
- The WhatsApp line for entries into the Swiper on-air competition will close at 00:01 am on 30th October 2025. No entries will be accepted thereafter.
- The Swiper competition will be on air from 20 October 2025 to 31 October 2025 during the following radio stations’ breakfast shows between 06:00 and 09:00, Mondays to Fridays: KFM, 947, 702, Jacaranda FM, Kaya 959, Gagasi FM, Metro FM, Lesedi FM, Ukhozi FM and Radio 2000.
- Each radio station will randomly select 5 (five) qualifying participants to participate live on radio.
- As time races forward, the stakes rise higher with each announcement. With only 30 seconds on the clock, the qualifying participant must shout “Swiped!” just in time to lock in the cash. If they are too late, the prize slips away. If they time it perfectly, they can bag the accumulated cash (up to R25 000.00).
- If the qualifying participant that has been selected for the Swiper is an Absa accountholder, they will automatically receive a R2 500 cash bonus and, if they are also an Absa Rewards member, they will receive a further R2 500 cash bonus (“the Swiper Cash Bonus”).
- Prize Money fulfilment:
- The Absa Swiper on-air competition winners will receive a winner’s letters from their respective radio stations with clear details of the requirements to fulfill their prize money after all verification is done by Absa.
- The prize will be paid in accordance with the standard fulfillment period of 21 working days.
- The Absa Swiper on-air competition winners may contact MediaHeads 360 should they need clarity of the status of their prize money.
- Part 2: The Absa Swiper Car Competition (“Swiper Grand Prize”):
- Qualifying participants can stand a chance to drive away in one of ten sleek, all-new Jaecoo J5 Vortex in the colour red, including 3 (three) months’ car insurance premium from Absa Insurance.
