WIN MORE COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS MARCH 2024

By entering this competition, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the AFRICAN BANK WIN MORE Competition 2024. The competition is run by African Bank, their staff, directors, affiliated companies, and third-party service providers (MEDIAHEADS 360) (collectively, the “Organisers”).

Please read the Terms carefully and pay special attention to the clauses that are in bold, as they may limit our liability (responsibility) or involve some risk to you.

1. DURATION

1.1. The Competition starts at 06h00 on Monday 26th February 2024 and ends at 18h00 on Friday 22 March 2024 (Competition Period).

2. REQUIREMENTS

2.1. To qualify as an entrant into this Competition you must meet all the following:

2.1.1. be 18 (eighteen) years of age or older.

2.1.2. an African Bank Account holder at the time of the prize fulfilment.

2.1.3. If you are not an African Bank Account holder, African Bank will open the MYWORLD Account for you and your prize money will be paid into your MYWORLD Account.

2.1.4. be a South African citizen who holds a valid South African identity document; and

2.1.5. permanently reside in the Republic of South Africa

3. HOW TO ENTER

3.1 Listen to the radio broadcast on any of the following 6 (six) radio stations every day for the duration of the competition (clause 1 competition duration) and use the WhatsApp number reflected next to each radio station to enter via the WhatsApp Bot. You are required to follow the WhatsApp prompt accurately to qualify into the competition.

To stand a chance to win up-to R10,000 cash, you must send ’MORE’ to the selected station WhatsApp number as indicated above and send a 30 second voice note telling us what you want to do MORE of in 2024.

3.2. WhatsApp rates are in accordance with the entrant’s service provider.

3.3. All entrants will receive an entry into the Competition and such entries will be managed by MediaHeads 360 (Agency).

3.4. There are no forms to fill in and once you meet the requirements set out in clauses 2 and 3 above, you will automatically be entered into the Competition.

3.5. You may enter this Competition as many times as you want, however you will not be eligible to win more than one Prize, which is in accordance with the prize moneys of this competition.

4. ON-AIR COMPETITION

4.1 On- Air there is a potential to win up-to R10 000 (ten-thousand rand) prize money per station, per winner and the following terms apply:

4.1. The presenter will select one qualifying entry and call the finalist live on-air – the presenter will play the voice note of the finalist live on-air, the presenter will ask the finalist what they intend to do MORE of in 2024.

4.2. To stand a chance to win in this competition, you must enter via the WhatsApp Bot as stipulated in clause 3 and follow the WhatsApp prompt accurately to stand a chance to win the first prize of R5000 (five thousand rands) cash.

4.3. To stand a chance to WIN MORE, you must do the following during the campaign, period as stipulated in clause 1.1

4.3.1 Open/switch to MyWORLD Account.
4.3.2 Move your salary MyWORLD Account.
4.3.3 Make transactions (payment, deposit, withdrawal, transfers) the transaction counts as 1 engagement.
4.3.4 Download the App, register and sign-in.
4.3.5 Add a Power or Savings pocket. 

4.4. If you open or switch to African Bank you stand a chance to WIN an ADDITIONAL R2000 (two thousand rand)

4.5. If you do any of the above mentioned in (clause 4.3.2 to 4.3.5) you stand a chance to WIN an ADDITIONAL R1000 (one-thousand rand) per activity.

4.6. The winner must understand that the above-mentioned prize descriptions will be verified by African Bank during the 30-day prize fulfilment period, and the winner will receive their prize money in accordance with the verification process.

5. PRIZES

5.1. Each Radio Station will select a finalist (winner) during the Competition Period and the following terms will apply:

5.2. Each Station (winner) will win a prize as stipulated in clause 4 above.

5.3. The winner/s will receive their prize money through their African Bank MyWORLD Account,

irrespective of whether they are an African Bank Account holder or not.

5.4. If winner/s are not African Bank Account holder at the time of prize fulfilment, African Bank will open the account for the winner/s during the 30-day prize fulfilment period.

6. PRIZES (FULFILMENT)

6.1. The winner/s will receive their prize money/s (in accordance with the verification process with-in 30-business days from the last day of the station’s competition period (competition week) and the following information will be required from the winner/s for final verification before they receive their prize/s:

6.2. The winner’s copy of identity document (ID)

6.3. Th winner’s full name and surname as they appear on their identity document.

6.4. The winner’s contactable and verified cell phone number.

6.5. The winner’s proof of residence.

6.6. All the listeners who are entering this competition and are announced as winners on the above mentioned radio station are, abiding by these terms and conditions and are automatically giving the stations and Mediaheads 360 (agency) consent to share their personal details with third party (African Bank) for their prize fulfilment verification.

6.7. It is the winner’s responsibility to check that their price has been received with in the 30 business days (thirty) as stipulated in clause 4.6 and if they have not received the prize within the 30 business days (thirty) business days period or sooner they MUST contact Mediaheads 360 (Agency) to follow up on the status of their (Prize).

6.8. It is the winner’s responsibility to make sure that they visit their nearest African Bank Branch to collect their African Bank card (if they are new account holder) and check their African Bank Account to make sure they received the correct prize accordingly to clause 4.2, 4.4 and 4.5 above.

7. GENERAL

7.1. We (MediaHeads 360 and African Bank, are the joint promoters of the Competition. Any reference to we/us/our includes our directors, members, partners, sponsors, agents or consultants, where the context allows for it.

7.2. You cannot participate in this Competition if:

7.2.1. you are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of ours;

7.2.2. you are an immediate family member of any of the persons specified in clause 7.2; or

7.2.3. you are the sponsor of the Competition or an employee of African Bank.

7.3. These Terms are governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

7.4. These Terms apply to the Competition and all information relating to the Competition (including any promotional or advertising material that is published).

7.5. By entering this Competition, all entrants agree to be bound by these Terms.

7.6. We reserve the right to amend these Terms.

7.6.1. All Prize winners, in addition to complying with these Terms and any other terms and conditions must comply with the terms and conditions of the organisers, suppliers and third parties involved in the Competition (if applicable).

7.7. We must process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a Prize winner to make the Prize available to you. By entering this Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for this purpose. If you do not consent to us processing your personal information, please do not enter this competition.

7.8. We may declare the Prize forfeited (lost) and we may choose a new Prize winner, if:

7.8.1. A Prize winner’s entry is not valid;

7.8.2. a Prize winner has breached these Terms;

7.8.3. a Prize winner cannot be contacted or does not accept the Prize within 14 days from the date that the Prize winner was contacted about the Prize;

7.8.4. a Prize winner gives up the Prize or we determine that the Prize winner has given up the Prize;

7.9. If there is a dispute in respect of these Terms or the Competition, our decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

7.10. If the prize winner agrees to it, we may publish their name and/or photo in any internal or external advertising or promotional material for 12 months from the date on which the Prize winner accepts the Prize. We will determine the nature and distribution of these materials. If a Prize winner does not consent to the publication of their name and/or photo, the Prize winner will still receive the Prize

7.11. The Prize may not be exchanged for any other item. We do however reserve the right to substitute the Prize with any other prize of a similar commercial value.

7.12. We are not responsible if your entry is not successfully submitted or a Prize winner does not successfully receive or take up a Prize for any reason, including because of a technological failure.

7.13. We are not responsible for any loss or damage which you or any third party may suffer as a result of you participating in the Competition or accepting a Prize.

7.14. If required by the Minister for Trade and Industry, the National Consumer Commission or for any other reason, we can end the Competition immediately with or without notice to you. If this happens, you waive (give up) any rights which you may have against us and you will have no claim against us.

8. Part E – General

8.1. The judges’ decision is final. No deliberations may be entered into and no decisions may be taken on review.

8.2. The organisers will not be responsible, and disclaim any and all liability, for any loss, liability, injury, expense or damage (including direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential loss) of any nature, whether arising from negligence or any other cause, which is suffered by any participant or any other third party as a result of his/her participation in this competition and/or by any action taken by the organisers or any of its affiliates in accordance with these terms and conditions.

8.3. The organisers reserve the right to vary, postpone, suspend, or cancel this competition or any aspect thereof, without notice, at any time, for any reason which the organisers deem necessary, in their sole determination. In the event of such variation, postponement, suspension or cancellation, each participant agrees to waive any rights, interests and expectations that he/she may have in terms of this competition and acknowledge that he/she will have no recourse against the organisers.

8.4. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any participant should the above-mentioned warranties not be complied with and/or if any other provision in the terms and conditions are not complied with.

8.5. These terms and conditions are governed by South African law and the South African courts shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction in respect of all matters (including disputes) arising from these terms and conditions.

8.6. If any of these terms and conditions are not adhered to, your entry will be considered incomplete and will be regarded as null and void. Media Heads 360 (Pty) Ltd (Registration Number 2005/012368/07) is part of the AME group.
